A space that transforms time into tangible beauty
The Brief
The project proposes the creation of a high watchmaking space on Paseo de Gracia that reflects the precision and exclusivity of the craft. Inspired by the light entering from a large skylight and the direct view of Casa Milà, the design seeks to fuse tradition and modernity through noble materials and handcrafted details, offering an experience of serene and timeless luxury.
Project Scope
Located in the heart of Barcelona, this project redefines the concept of a watch boutique through an intervention that combines elegance, technique, and emotion. The expansion of the main area and the use of a large skylight were decisive in flooding the space with natural light, which enhances the texture of the Travertine marble, the shine of the brass, and the warmth of the walnut.
The design revolves around two central pieces: a twelve-sided display cabinet—a symbol of the hours on a clock—and a sculptural lamp composed of 150 suspended Bohemian crystals, which project changing sparkles throughout the day.
Each material tells a story: the marble provides solidity and timelessness, the walnut wood introduces warmth, and the lattices generate privacy without losing visual connection. Together, the space achieves a fusion between art and functionality, tradition and contemporary design.
Developed entirely by Ujo+partners, the project encompasses all phases, from concept to execution, resulting in a sophisticated environment that celebrates precision, light, and watchmaking craftsmanship.
Light passes through the marble and is reflected in the glass: a setting where time stands still, matter comes to life, and luxury becomes an experience of perfection and calm.
From Idea to Execution.This project, carried out by Ujo+partners, included all stages of the process: planning, manufacturing, coordination, assembly, and quality control. This comprehensive effort, therefore, has given life to a unique space, where design and functionality come together to offer a memorable experience. Thus, a space has been achieved that meets the highest standards of quality and luxury.
