The Brief
Transforming an old and compartmentalized apartment into a modern, open, and comfortable space, improving the connection between the day and night areas. The main challenge was to optimize the interior distribution to create a more functional, welcoming home adapted to the current lifestyle of its inhabitants.
Project Scope
In this comprehensive renovation on Ronda General Mitre in Barcelona, Ujo+partners developed a project that redefines functionality and domestic comfort. A complete redistribution of the space was carried out to open up the common areas, visually connect the kitchen, dining room, living room, and terrace, and maximize natural light.
The use of walnut wood as a central element brings warmth, elegance, and visual coherence, integrating both the daytime spaces and the private areas. The nighttime area was designed with versatility and privacy in mind, with adaptable bedrooms using sliding doors and a master suite that combines noble materials and lacquered finishes.
Every detail has been carefully planned to achieve a balance between aesthetics and functionality, resulting in a contemporary, flexible, and comfortable home.
