The Brief
The project is developed in a residence located on the emblematic Avenida del Tibidabo, in Barcelona. The intervention proposes transforming an elongated and compartmentalized space into a continuous, warm, and functional home. Through a sober and precise interior architecture, the aim is to unify the rooms through a linear gesture of great material strength: a walnut wall that acts as the visual and emotional axis of the whole.
Project Scope
“The proposal stems from a simple and powerful gesture: a longitudinal wall clad in walnut wood that articulates the entire residence. This structural element connects the day area with the master bedroom and discreetly conceals the entrances to the kitchen, bedrooms, and closets, maintaining a continuous and orderly image.
The indirect lighting, integrated into the false ceiling of the hallway and foyer, enhances the texture of the walnut and accentuates the spatial depth. The warm and enveloping light reinforces the feeling of serenity and balance that defines the residence.
The interior distribution is conceived as a fluid sequence where each room maintains its privacy without losing connection. The hallway becomes a true backbone: functional, sculptural, and emotional.
The choice of materials—natural wood, neutral finishes, and tactile surfaces—builds a coherent and timeless language. The result is a residence where every detail is designed to offer comfort, harmony, and a serene aesthetic that invites calm living.
